Executive Director of the Law and Neuroscience Project. The Project is centered
at th
The Project promotes interdisciplinary collaborative research on legal issues raised by recent developments in neuroscience as well as original neuroscience research on topics relevant to the legal system. The Project includes three Research Networks with 12-15 members each, along with several post-doctoral fellows and an Education and Outreach Program. It organizes conferences and funds research, including neuroscience experiments, legal research, workshops, conferences, and publications.

The Executive Director will assist the Director with the
overall administration of MacArthur funded, Law and Neuroscience project.
Duties will include: supervision of program fellows, oversight of project
budget, management of multidisciplinary project networks which include,
individual network conference/meeting planning, supporting their agenda
development, reporting network meeting summaries and more.
Incumbent will also be responsible for the management and oversight of each networks research projects. The Executive Director will work with the Project Director to compose the required annual research report, outlining the progress of each network and the various aspects of their related research projects. In addition, the Executive Director will be solely responsible for the oversight of the projects quarterly research newsletter, including editing. This position will require that the incumbent function with a very high level of independence and will require minimal guidance from the project Director. Demonstrated superior professional ability in previous positions will be necessary; writing skills, outstanding administrative skills, interpersonal skills and experience are essential to the success of the position. A PhD in neuroscience, a JD, or a related degree is strongly preferred.
