Applications are invited for anticipated research positions for 2007-08 in the area of Materials Science and Engineering. Appointments will be for one year with the possibility of limited reappointments on an annual basis in accordance with applicable personnel policies and availability of funding. Applicants should possess a professional degree (B.S./Ph.D.) or equivalent experience in Engineering/Physical Sciences with the following possible areas of advanced material specialization: biomaterials, catalysis, metal and ceramic matrix composites, ceramic sensors, solidification processing, intermetallics, compound semiconductors, epitaxial crystal growth, optical properties of materials, conducting polymers, complex fluids, thin films, and high temperature superconductors.
