Applications are invited for anticipated temporary postdoctoral positions in the following areas:


Pharmacology: Applications are sought for persons interested in the study of mechanism of inactivation of phospholipase A2 by marine natural products. Applicant should have a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences.

Plant Sciences: Applicant should possess a Ph.D. and have research interests in the molecular biology of vascular plants, emphasizing modern studies of gene organization and expression.

Population Genetics: Applicant should have a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a thorough knowledge of both the mathematical and molecular bases of population genetics.

Aquatic Biology: Applicant should have research interests in marine and freshwater ecology and possess a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences.


Ecosystem Ecology: Study of the biosphere.

 
Biochemistry/Molecular Biology: Applications are sought from persons interested in the study of eukaryotic systems by biochemical and genetic approaches. Applicant should have a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences.

Neurobiology: Applicant should have a Ph.D. with a special emphasis on the cellular and/or molecular basis of neural development.

The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service. Appointments will be for one year with possibility of reappointment on an annual basis in accordance with applicable personnel policies and availability of funding. Salary dependent on qualifications. Applications will be kept active for consideration for all appropriate vacancies within the Department for one year. Applicants may resubmit a new application letter no later than April 30 of the following year to retain eligibility for one additional year.
