Applications are invited for anticipated post-doctoral research positions for 2007-08 in the area of Materials Science and Engineering. Appointments will be for one year with the possibility of limited reappointments on an annual basis in accordance with applicable personnel policies and availability of funding. Applicants should possess a professional degree (B.S./Ph.D.) or equivalent experience in Engineering/Physical Sciences with the following possible areas of advanced material specialization: photonic materials; semiconducting polymers; battery and fuel cell materials; functional polymers; storage media; plastic and molecular electronics; conducting polymers; Thin films; Epitaxial material growth; Computer simulation; Inorganic material preparation; Solid-State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR); and electron microscopy. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
