LECTURER

MEDIA ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

 

Area of Specialization: Generative scripting; Maya software (MEL); computer graphics and visualization; architecture; intelligent systems.

 

Applications are invited for a possible lecturer appointment in 2008-2009 for the Media Arts and Technology Program in the above-mentioned areas of specialization. Appointments will be made on a quarterly basis. Reappointment for subsequent quarters is dependent on performance and department needs.

 

Applicants must possess a graduate degree in Media Arts and Science, Architecture, or a related field, be prepared to teach Media Arts and Technology students in the above topics of interest, and have experience teaching these subjects to graduate students. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.

 

Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated effectiveness in lecture courses. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching and research.

The department will keep active applications for all appropriate vacancies for one year. Applicants must resubmit materials each academic year to retain eligibility. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Salary based on qualifications.
