Junior Specialist

Research Technician; available immediately; interdisciplinary multi-year project; opportunities for publication.  BA or BS required plus demonstrable skills in one or more of the following: biological specimen prep and TEM; protein purification; biochem.; molecular biology; and/or soft materials science.  Assistance with project admin. including purchasing; logistics and prep'n. for field work also required. Opportunities to participate in marine and oceanographic field research available depending on interest and abilities.  Experience in marine biol., vision or optics helpful but not required.  Starting salary $33,672 with excellent UC benefits. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research,

teaching and service.
