(UCSB) Donald Bren School of Environmental Science & Management invites
applications for an anticipated position during the 2008-09 academic year.
We seek an individual who can teach ESM 281: Corporate
Environmental Management for master’s degree students pursuing a professional
degree in Environmental Science and Management.
The successful candidate must be able to teach ESM 281, a course that
explores conceptual tools and management strategies to improve the
environmental performance of firms. There
may be opportunity to teach additional courses that are part of our Corporate
Environmental Management specialization or would enhance the existing
curriculum for this specialization. This
might includes courses on such topics as Environmental Risk, Managerial Finance
for Environmental Professionals, Environmental Accounting, Green Managerial
Marketing, Responding to Climate Change, Implementation of Sustainable Business
Practices; other topics will be considered.
The successful candidate MUST have interest
and experience in the intersection of business AND the environment. We do not
seek individuals who can teach mainstream business classes. Candidates must be able to teach courses with
an environmental focus and be valuable for students preparing themselves to become
leaders in environmental problems solving.
Salary is dependent upon qualifications. Terms
and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate
