Temporary Teaching Positions
Positions Open Until Filled.
Applications are invited for temporary part-time academic teaching positions for the academic year 2009-10. Candidates with a Ph.D. and one year of teaching experience are preferred. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
Lecturer appointments will range from one quarter to next year with the possibility of reappointment dependent upon performance and departmental needs. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Appointments in other temporary teaching titles shall be for one year with the possibility of reappointment in accordance with applicable personnel policies and availability of funding. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
Applications will be kept active for consideration for all appropriate vacancies within the department for one year. Applicants must resubmit a new application letter each academic year to retain eligibility.
