Responsibilities:
The site Coordinator supervises teacher education students at practicum sites in the public schools. Coordinates linkages between UCSB coursework and practicum activities. Provides training for cooperation teachers at the school site. Works with school personnel to provide individualized consultation and support, and to resolve difficulties arising at school sites. Works with school personnel to develop classroom placements for TEP students. Participates in TEP faculty meetings, curriculum development activities and program evaluation activities. Reports to TEP Program Coordinator (MST; SST).
Qualifications:
Teacher certification in the State of California or equivalent; at least three years experience as a public or private school classroom teacher; experience in providing professional development services to teachers or other education personnel; strong organizational and inter personal skills; knowledge of current policies and best practices of K-12 teaching.
