POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLAR POSITION

DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY

Area of Specialization: Biochemistry

An inmediate opening for a Ph.D. level researcher at UCSB. (Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and have an outstanding research record or potential in Biochemistry.) The job is funded through the UC Discovery program and a local medical diagnostic finn to develop new detection technologies. The ability to carry out microbiological manipulations, DNA and PNA isolation, human cell line propagation and biochemical assays are important. A willingness to work with a diverse research group spanning biochemistry an engineering is critical. Competitive pay scale conmensurate with experience.
